Regicide — quick rules

Defeat 12 royals in order (4 Jacks → 4 Queens → 4 Kings).

• Step 1. Play a card (or combo, or AC pairing) — or yield.
• Step 2. Suit power fires at the total attack value (unless the enemy is immune to that suit).
• Step 3. Deal damage. If HP drops to 0, the enemy falls.
• Step 4. Take a hit from the enemy by discarding cards totaling at least the attack value.

Suit powers

• ♥ Hearts — shuffle N cards from discard to the bottom of the tavern
• ♦ Diamonds — draw N cards (clockwise, skipping full hands)
• ♣ Clubs — double damage
• ♠ Spades — add N to a cumulative shield against this enemy

Combos & companions

Combo: 2–4 cards of the same number with total ≤ 10. Animal Companion (A): may pair with one other non-Jester card; both suit powers fire.

Jester

Played alone — cancels enemy suit immunity for the rest of the fight, and the player picks who goes next. Spades already played against a Spades enemy retroactively start shielding.

Loss

A player loses if they can't cover the enemy's damage from hand, or can't play / yield on their turn.
